Information for Guests




Arrival

On arrival SuperSTEM visitors must first register at the Daresbury Laboratory reception where one of our staff members will meet you and take you to the SuperSTEM building if this is your first stay.

Please note that on-site security requirements mean that you should have informed us well in advance of your intended visit.

Accommodation

On-site accommodation (basic, hostel style) is available at the Daresbury Laboratory Low Wood bungalow for £45 per person. Accommodation consists of 1 double, 1 single and 1 twin room. The twin room can be booked for single occupancy. Kitchen, lounge and bathroom are shared among occupants. A basic self-serve breakfast (cereal, toast, coffee, tea) is provided in the kitchen. Residents are allowed free use of the on-site Fitness Centre facilities provided they have undergone a health and safety induction. Contact the gym manager, Sarah Duberry on 01925 603928 or email DL Amenity Centre to book an appointment. On site you have access to Eduroam or, if you prefer, you can apply for STFC guest-wifi access upon your arrival at the site reception.

Alternatively visitors could opt to stay at any of the other Warrington hotels. Typical choices are the Victoria Lodge in Stockton Heath, the Premier Inn or Travelodge in Warrington or the closest (~1mile) hotel to the laboratory, the Hotel Daresbury Park (call 0844 980 0220 for central reservations)

For long distance travel advice please see Directions. Your local travel options are three bus services, two of which link directly into the campus and one which stops only a short walk away in Daresbury Village or the local Taxi services.
